Training 2000 Recognised for Excellence in Learning and Development at the Princess Royal Training Awards Conference 2024

Training 2000, a leading provider of apprenticeships and commercial training, attended a networking and training event following acceptance of a prestigious Princess Royal Training Award in 2022 for driving a shift in leadership culture. The conference, held at Guildhall, London, celebrated organisations that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to learning and development.

Launched in 2016, the Princess Royal Training Awards were established to recognise organisations that invest in learning and development to drive positive change within their workforce. Supported by HRH The Princess Royal, the awards highlight the invaluable role of skills development within organisations.

Training 2000's dedication to enhancing management and leadership capabilities was acknowledged during the conference in relation to the provider’s Level 5 ILM Management apprenticeship success. Through this apprenticeship, Training 2000 has not only improved business performance and achievement rates but also attracted aspiring leaders while retaining internal talent. Notably, the organisation has achieved significant cost savings through learner projects, demonstrating the tangible benefits of investing in staff development.

City & Guilds, the organisation behind the Princess Royal Training Awards convened together over 100 industry leaders from the alumni to share best practice and allow organisations to gain insights into innovative approaches to learning and development. By participating in this event, Training 2000 reaffirms its commitment to excellence in training and education. Speaking at the event, Kirstie Donnelly MBE, Chief Executive at City & Guilds said: ‘City & Guilds believes in the power of learning to develop potential. This event was all about learning from one another, because we know that there is so much for each of our alumni organisations to share with one another. The Princess Royal Training Awards really are the jewel in the crown for City & Guilds and help us to fulfil our purpose of recognising and sharing excellence in skills development.’

Louise Hedge, Delivery Manager at Training 2000, attended the conference and stated, ‘This was another fantastic event, being able to speak to other award holders and sharing of good practice, it has been a privilege to be able to be part of this award on behalf of Training 2000’.
