We have a number of outstanding future apprentices available and seeking an opportunity now as an accountancy apprentice.

MK – Level 3

GCSEs: Religious Studies 8, Combined Science 8-7, History 5, Maths 7, English Literature 8, English Language 6M, Urdu 6.

Experience: 6 weeks of work experience with a local store and a further 4 weeks of experience with a local business owner. Developed skills in customer service, team work and time management. Was responsible for stacking shelves and assisting customers.

HM – Level 3

GCSEs: Combined Science 66, Business 6, Maths 7, English Language 6, Geography 7, English Literature 6, Religious Studies 6.

Experience: Work experience at Euro Garages, his role was within the finance and HR department, during this time he developed skills in: teamwork, time management, independence and also improved his confidence within a workplace. He also worked as a warehouse operative at Boohoo for a month, his role as a packer was to ensure all targets were met when packing and to ensure all orders were put through with the right item, code and mailing label. During his time at Boohoo he improved his communication skills as he had to communicate with individuals who weren’t fluent in English, this allowed him to gain a better understanding and improve his ability to communicate with others.

MS – Level 2

Experience: Voluntary work experience at AMS Accountants, role included: sole trader accounts, xero VAT preparation, payroll on Brightpay and organising folders, this allowed him to have a better knowledge of accountancy. Has also volunteered at Windows4u where he helped fit windows and doors.

US

Experience: Currently works part time at Heavenly Desserts, whilst working here he has developed his confidence, communication, team work and maturity. He has also done a work experience placement at Rowen Accounts, which involved: preparing regular bookkeeping, processing invoices using receipts and bank statements, preparing VAT returns to gain understanding of the business and understood a tax calculator to understand the foundations of a tax return.

SA – Level 2

Experience: Currently works at the weekends as a customer service advisor for 6 different Santa’s brands, the role entails: taking orders, dealing with customer queries and solving customer complaints. Whilst working in this role he has developed strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure. He also volunteers at his local mosque, helping teach children aged 7-10.

MH – Level 3

GCSEs: Maths 8, English Literature 9, English Language 9, Triple Science 8/7, Religious Studies 8, Geography 8.

Experience: Previous part time employment as a crew member at McDonald’s. Role included: collaborating effectively with other team members in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, swiftly and professionally addressing customer’s complaints, taking orders and handling payments via a POS system, greeting customers and providing excellent customer service. Was awarded employee of the week on numerous occasions by different managers.

Experience: Part time employment as a team member at Romero’s since March 2021, role involves: cash handling, till operation, providing outstanding customer service, promotion of sale of goods, organising stock levels and handling customer complaints.

YF – Level 3

Experience: 10-month programme including 2 weeks work experience with EY Foundation (Ernest & Young LLP), the programme involved: an insight to accountancy, pitching a sustainable business idea to 4 panellists, employability skill sessions and working both individually and as part of a team. Currently working part time at Staci as a warehouse operative, this role involves: carrying out duties effectively, following verbal instructions and written processes, working effectively within a team to achieve the daily picking and packing of orders, packing orders in a cost-effective way and understanding the basic health and safety requirements.

Experience: Volunteers at her local mosque with students aged 5-16, this involves: natural ability to communicate with children of different ages, dealing with contrasting behaviours and assisting teachers when necessary. This role has allowed her to build essential skills such as confidence and team-ethic which will allow her to show professionalism in her future career.
