Learner Profile: Alice-Rose

Alice-Rose began an Accounting Apprenticeship after finishing her A-Levels.

After completing A-Levels in Mathematics, Economics and Business Studies, Alice-Rose decided to apply for an Accountancy Apprenticeship and progressed from Level 3 to completing her Level 4 Apprenticeship in December 2023.

Alice-Rose wasn’t sure what career to pursue after she finished college and wanted to use her analytical and mathematical skills and knowledge. A natural problem solver, Alice-Rose became interested in the variety of jobs in the accounting world.

Once Alice-Rose had secured employment, her employer started her on Training 2000’s Level 3 Accountancy Apprenticeship, where she began learning lots about her chosen profession. Alice-Rose says: ‘I learnt lots of accounting skills and how to act in a professional manner. We learnt fundamental principles of accounting, which are important in every aspect of accounting’.

AAT Co-ordinator at Training 2000, Aileen, says that: ‘Alice is an outstanding student who has achieved competence in all her Level 4 exams first time’.

Alice-Rose has now completed her Apprenticeship and hopes to travel with her accountancy skills. Currently visiting Australia, she would also like to continue voluntary accountancy work with Girl Guiding and the National Autistic Society on her return to England.

For those who may be considering an Apprenticeship, Alice-Rose says: ‘Just do it. It’s challenging and will be really hard at times but it will be worth it.’
